The Hungarian Puli Introduction Index
C |
Quickly, very quickly, a Hungarian Puli will become a junior, then before long an adult. During this time the Puli will have formed his own distinct character, besides those that are common to the breed. He will have settled down to be part of his new family, a valid member who is loved and likes to be part of everything that is going on. No doubt the care and attention his coat requires during this period will have been addressed, with a regular routine for grooming and bathing. Some of the photographs in this section show Pulis of various ages and how coats develop, taking up to four years to become fully corded and floor length. Many Pulis attend training classes, obedience, agility, some get to do what they were actually bred for - herding sheep. Being and intelligent breed the Puli likes to be kept active, boredom can create a problem dog, although it has to be said many Pulis are quite happy taking over his owners favourite armchair and watching television!
