The Hungarian Puli Introduction Index

Officially called Mister Kleaver Kloggs, but to his friends known as Kloggs. In, what Kloggs considers to be a previous life, he was a show dog, he had been entered at many shows, travelled all over the country and indeed loved all the excitement and attention. However, when the people who owned and showed him considered Kloggs to have reached the height of his canine career, they decided to retire him. At the grand old age of five, and just as Kloggs felt he was coming into his own, this was indeed quite a shock. Watching the other dogs go off to shows wasn’t easy, he had enjoyed the life, now Kloggs would sulk for hours in his kennel. Then one day The Owners appeared on the scene and things were never to be the same again for Kloggs. He was taken into a loving caring home and adored by all, even the youngest child, a boy who it has to be said, did like to pull the Puli’s tail when he got the chance, being highly intrigued by the way it curled over the Puli’s back. Kloggs had a kennel at his new home, he did not stay in it very much. Instead most of his time was spent in the fabulous house where The Owners lived. Kloggs was taken out and about, not to shows, but to woods and parks for long walks. Although Kloggs had a fantastic new life, he did, as Pulis usually do, miss the companionship of others that had lived with him previously. Mrs Owner soon caught onto this and suggested to Mr Owner and their three children they look for another Puli puppy, which is how Klow arrived into the Owners household.
The Owner family had visited Kloe several times before taking her home as an eight week old puppy. Kloe had come from a respectable breeder and had second female out of a litter of six puppies. Her mum was clearly agitated at seeing her leave, but knew Kloe was going to a good home. In turn Kloe was scared, but this feeling did not last very long, love and care oozed from The Owners and then there was an even bigger surprise when they arrived at Puli Manor. Kloggs came out to meet her.The two Pulis got on right from the start, there was hardly ever a disagreement between them. Kloe though was adopted by the eldest Owner daughter, Debbie, who took charge of her grooming and talked Mr Owner into buying all sorts of equipment which was installed in a converted fuel store. The Mops had their own grooming room. Both Kloggs and Kloe always looked beautiful, Kloggs had a floor length corded coat and Kloe’s developing really well. Debbie Owner would very much liked to have shown Kloe, but her parents were reluctant and managed to talk her out of the idea, saying it could be difficult to fit it in with school as so many of the shows were on week days. Debbie wanted to do well in her examinations as she was hoping to go to university. Just before Kloe’s third birthday, Debbie asked her mum if she thought Kloe could have a litter. Mrs Owner was a bit surprised, but after talking it through with her husband and also Kloe’s breeder, agreed to the idea. Several months later Kloggs became a dad for the first time, and Kloe a very dedicated mother of four puppies. Two boy and two girls. The Owners decided to keep two of the puppies and suitable homes were found for the other boy and girl. They keep in contact and the other puppies are frequent visitors at Puli Manor. There was much debate in The Owner household about names, non seemed right. Dean, the youngest son, wanted to call the dog Claude, which some how became Korde and Jenny his older sister eventually suggested Kordette.Debbie then gave them the name The Mops.
Korde and Kordette are just nine months old when we join them on their first adventure. They are very well socialised Pulis. Growing up in Puli Manor is a delight, not only do the Pulis have a very large garden to play in, they now have their own play area with climbing frame, seesaw, tunnel and jumps. All of which Korde and Kordette are very good at.Mr and Mrs Owner, their three children son Dean, daughters Jenny and Debbie are excellent Puli people. They love their dogs, and have insured they are trained to be good and well behaved. The Owners live in a house with a large garden, called Puli Manor. Mr Owner is a successful business man, and Mrs Owner works part time for a local agricultural supplier. Debbie their eldest child wants to become a veterinary surgeon and is studying hard at school. Jenny is into fashion and has already won competitions at school for her designs. Dean, the youngest is a typical boy, so they say, and is often said to be getting into lots of mischief, he is also very interested in mechanical engineering.
